BIO
The Floridian native has battled through the notoriously small surf found within the South East Coast of America's beachbreaks and has cemented himself as one of the world's finest surfers. The 2001 ASP World Champion is one of many talents who continue to refine his competitive skills with each year amongst the elite. Hobgood has marched to impressive accolades such as Rookie of the Year in 1999 and Most Improved in 2000 before claiming the prestigious title of ASP World Champion and now the goofy-footed champion is preparing to embark on his 12th year on the ASP Dream Tour in 2010 with twin brother and fellow ASP World Tour standout Damien Hobgood by his side.

Throughout his lengthy professional career, Hobgood has established himself as one of the best barrel riders in the world with impressive victories at the Billabong Pro Teahupoo (2004) and the Billabong Pro Mundaka (2008). Hobgood continued his attack on the world's finest in 2009, constantly posting keeper results to find himself rated No. 7 in the world for 2009, proving he is still a title threat for 2010.
